Haru X Reader-Freak

You didn't know why, maybe it was because you like black , or wear a lot if jewelry, or maybe it was your turquoise eyes and white hair. (lol yea used Toshiro's features X3) Whatever the reason you hated it, but refused to change.

You were consistently bullied, for no apparent reason. You had friends in elementary school but when you started to change your likings they sorta avoided you like you were a disease.

You were walking to your locker to pack up and go home. Right when you turned down the corner your locker was on you spotted three boys, the same three that would come by your locker at the end of the day everyday just to pester you. They even sometimes physically hurt you.

"Hey there freak!" One of them yelled. You just ignored it and went around then to your locker until one of them roughly grabbed the clothing on your shoulder and shoved your back into the locker next to yours.

You let out a yelp and dropped your books. "Can't you just leave me alone?" He smirked "Nah, not until you get the idea through your thick skull! No one likes you!" You spit in his face "Like hell I'd kill myself! Just cuzz I don't have any friends doesn't mean I don't have a future!" You growled.

He smirked again and let go if you "Look around, no one likes you. You’re a freak, and freaks don't belong in society" you continued to ignore them. "I'm glad you don't like me, I don't wake up every morning to impress you!"

He opened his mouth to say something but was cut off by someone yelling over to them. "Wow, you guys have really gone low. Taking on a girl because you have to upper hand. Cowards. Why not take someone your own size on?!"

You turned and immediately knew who it was by the white hair and black clothing, it was Hatsuharu Sohma. The middle one turned to him "What are you going to do. You’re just another freak."

He gave them all a hard glare "Why don't you come here and see what this freak can do?" He took a step towards them. One of the boys started to whisper to the one you assumed was the leader.

"We shouldn't hang around here when Hatsuharu is here. He freaks me out" "Yea" he turned and ran down the hall as did the other two soon after. Hatsuharu walked over to where you bending down to pick up your books that had fallen.

"Let me help with those" he picked up most of them and handed them to you. "Thank you Hatsuharu, for sticking up for me." He smiled "No problem ______. Those boys shouldn't mess with you anymore but if they do just tell me, I'll take care of it"

you began to turn the lock on your locker "I cant tell you how glad I am you came along when you did, they were really beginning to get on my nerves" He gave a small smile "No problem. I can handle the comments but to swoop so low they go for girls.

That's just wrong. Girls should be treated right" you pack up your bag and close your locker "Can i walk you home?" "Oh no! Really you don't have to do that for me!" You shake your hands around in front if you.

He just smiled again "Non sense, I want to" after that you hear someone running "HARU!!!" A little blond boy jumped onto Hatsuharu’s shoulders. You remembered him as Momiji from your home room. "Time to go home Haru!"

He turned to you "Oh, hello _____" he smiled at you. "Hey there Momiji!" He pulled out a lollipop "Want one ____?" You smiled "Thanks!" And took it from him, quickly unwrapping it as sticking it into your mouth.

"Your welcome" he gave you a smile. Then Kyo, Tohru, and Yuki walked up. "You shouldn't take off like that Momiji" Tohru gave a worried look. Once she spotted you she smiled and gave a bow "Hello, I'm Tohru. You are?" You bowed in return

"I'm _____, nice to meet you" you saw Kyo's eyes dart from you to Hatsuharu "Dam, it's like I'm looking at a girl version of Haru" "They do have a lot in common" Yuki pointed out.

Kyo crossed his arms in front of him "Can we go now? I have a ton of homework to finish" Tohru bowed again "I'll see you around _____" they all turned a left except Hatsuharu. "I guess you could walk with us?"

You smiled and nodded "Oh and by the way, call me Haru, ok?" You smiled and nodded "Haru" with that you both walked home together.

In the next few months you and Haru became very close friends and would hang out together whenever you got the chance. No one had even looked at you since you first met Haru, and Momiji, Yuki, Kyo and Tohru also became your friends.

But only three months after meeting he began to keep conversations short or only hang out for an hour. But soon that turned into avoiding you completely. Whenever you'd be in the same room he would quickly leave.

You saw Yuki walking down the wall to his locker so you went up to him. "Yuki?" He turned and smiled "Yes Miss _____?" You looked down embarrassed "Umm, do you know why Haru is avoiding me?" You shyly looked him in the eyes. "I wouldn't worry. It's not that he doesn't like you, it's just...well, I should stop talking, he should be the one to tell you"

You nodded "Thanks Yuki. I'll see you on Monday" you turned but not before you gave him a wave. "Have a nice afternoon Miss _____" "you as well Yuki!" You ran over to your locker and began to turn your lock, until you heard someone yell then a loud bang. You turned your head and saw Haru pulling his fist back from a dented locker.

You gotten a little worried and ran over to him "Haru! Is your hand ok?" you grabbed his hands and looked over it. The skin was only a little red, not broken. You sighed in relief "Hatsuharu why on earth did you do that!!"

He glared at you with cold black eyes "Why do you care?!" He yanked his hand free from yours. "What the hell do you mean why do I care?! I'm your friend so I'm going to care!"

He went to punch the locker again until you stepped in his way "Stop doing that! You'll make your knocks bleed! Calm down!" He glared at you again "I cannot calm down! If you were in my place you would know why I will not calm down!

You are not my problem nor will I need anything from you!" You sniffed a little trying to keep back tears being as soft as you were. You didn't care about him yelling at you, you just didn't like the words he used.

"Hatsuharu.." You voice just above a whisper as you fell a few tears spill out. You quickly wipe then away with your sleeve. His features softened and his body relaxed once he saw you start to cry. Feeling guilty he turned so he didn't have to look at you

"I'm sorry.. It's just, there's something's I want to tell you about me but I know I'm not allowed to." You smiled a little "if you’re not allowed to then you don't have to tell me" he shook his head "no, I want to tell you"

He went to leave, he passed you but you quickly held onto his wrist. "Hatsuharu...I don't like not seeing you everyday..I don't have any friends beside you and the other Sohma's but I'm closer to you than them so of all people why did you stop talking to me?"

He turned to face you "It's because I really want to tell you something and it’s driving me crazy... So in order to stop myself from blurting it out I avoided you. I'm sorry" you smiled at his guilty face "It's fine Haru, just as long as we can go back hanging out every day?"

Haru took a breath "Screw the rules" he grabbed your wrist and took a few steps toward you. He leaned toward you and pressed his lips to yours. When he felt you begin to lean into him he almost jerked back, breaking the kiss and taking a step away from you.

You turned a little red "Did I do something wrong?" You started getting nervous. "No, it's just, I can't tell you why I pulled away." You decided not to ask anything else. Haru took a step forward and cupped your cheek with one if his hands, leaning forward and kissed you again. This time you didn't move, you only kissed back and placed your hands hesitantly onto his chest.

Once he pulled back he started at the ground in thought “you know what, I’m going to tell you, since there’s no one around to hear. Just promise me, you won’t tell anyone. Even Tohru” You made an X over your heart “Promise”

“Ok. Whenever a Sohma is hugged by a member of the opposite sex, they will turn into their zodiac animal” you stared at him for the longest time “Really? So if I hugged you you’d turn into a cow?!” he nodded. You laughed “No wonder your hair is black and white” he gave a irritated sound and linked his arm with yours “Come on, I’ll walk you home since we missed the bus”

You suddenly got a stupid idea “Hey Haru?” he hummed in response “Couldn’t I just ride you home?” he sighed, knowing you were being funny “I suppose you could but I wouldn’t let you” you laughed at his response and continued to enjoy the long walk from school to your house.
